The automatic advantage when playing with White is considered to be an axiom in chess because White can start putting problems in front of Black from the very first move. However, the initiative of starting first is fragile. Often, a player with White forgets the thumb rule of Steintz and plays slower. It is crazy how quickly tables can turn.
